Our First Graduation
On October 3 to 5, we ran the first program of our School of Leadership Practice, focusing on Board Practice and Directorship Development. During the first two days, the Program's Director, Andrew Kakabadse (one of the top experts in the field, Professor of Governance and Leadership in the Henley Business School, Chairman of the Henley Directors' Forum, and Emeritus Professor in Cranfield University), covered the academic aspect of the curriculum, with insights stemming from his extensive global research in over 12,500 organizations and 5,000 boards across 43 countries. On the third day, the discussions continued with the help of our renowned visiting practitioner, Michael Economakis, Chairman of the Petros Petropoulos Group. They shared their experiences on leadership and strategic governance challenges, particularly within the Greek economic, political, and social framework.
Based on their own feedback, the participants gained “personal insights”, profound “clarity on the board members’ roles”, and “awareness on the requirements, risks and benefits of being a Board member”.
The program itself was perceived as “a high-level program on Board memberships through which you gain insight for personal development”, "very interesting and insightful on what it means to be a BoD Member”, and “provides the right tools and knowledge for success as a modern BoD Member in complex times of disruption”.
